is Buddha an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. ... ?
As per Srimad Bhagavatam 1-3-24 Buddha is incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It happens that Buddha is after 20th incarnation as said in 1-3-23. after krishna avathar. it is also menstioned that buddha avatar is at the start of kaliyuga. So he is god for kaliyuga like Lord krishna for dwapara yuga. Lord Rama in Treta Yuga. it also states that he is son of Anjana, in the province of Gaya.
But is this mentioning of same Goutham Buddha that we think of..?
here it is mentioned that he is son of Anjana. But goutham Buddha is son of Suddhodana as per wikipedia info. But here one thing to notice here is Goutham Buddhas Grand father (Mother's father) is Anjana as per wikipedia. how is this possible..? "buddho nāmnāñjana-sutaḥ " is the actual saying. is translation wrong that instead of saying grand son, it is translated to son..?
