who is Vyasa - is he Lord or sage
who is Vyasa - is he Lord or sage
As per Srimat bhagavatham 1-3-21.
it is written that Vishnu in the seventeenth incarnation is born to Muni parasara and Satyavathi to divide vedas in to several branches for easy understanding.
from this we can understand that he is vishnu himself divided vedas for us.
here one thing to note is that, Vyasa is the person who says that "Vyasa is incarnation of Lord Vishnu"
in Bhagavat Geeta 15-15 it is said that krishna is everything and he is the compiler (vedaamthakrudhvedhavidheva) of the vedas.
we know that compiler of vedas is Vyasa. as krishna says he is compiler, we can think vyasa is Lord Krishna.
but again this is written or told by vyasa as krishna told.
