Lord shiva cursed cow to not to receive any pooja to the head part as it shook its head to lie to help lord brahma while it shook its tail to tell the truth about brahma not visiting the end of the linga during during an incident. hence we should only perorm do pooja to back portion of the ow not to the front head.
