 there are two types of solar charge controllers available..

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) - Cheaper less efficient and we need to match ratings of solar panel and battery.

Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) - is costlier but offers 30% more efficiency and need not match panels with battery.
